Awards and Study Grants

All members of the Works Officers Association of Queensland Inc. are eligible to enter the following awards:

International Study Award

Introduced in 1990 and now sponsored by AH Plant Hire, recipients of the award are funded to attend an overseas conference and undertake a one week study tour of the UK, USA or NZ.

Works Officers Association of Queensland Inc. Award

Each year one award is presented at the National Works and Engineering Conference. Recipients can use the award funding to attend approved training programs and industry conferences or undertake interstate work exchange within Australia. The aim of this award is to give Works Officers the opportunity to enhance their skills and, where possible, share their knowledge with colleagues at the annual conference. Interstate work exchanges are also encouraged to foster improved world practices and personal development amongst members.
